The difference between actinomycetes and streptomyces
is that “actinomycetes” is any of various filamentous or rod-shaped bacteria, of the order Actinomycetales, that resemble fungi. Some actinomycetes are pathogens and some are sources of antibiotics and “streptomyces” is any of several bacteria, of the genus Streptomyces, found in soil, several of which produce antibiotics.
