The difference between mucocele and appendicitis

is that "mucocele" is an enlargement or protrusion of the mucous membrane of the lachrymal passages, or dropsy of the lachrymal sac, dependent upon catarrhal inflammation of the latter and "appendicitis" is inflammation of the vermiform appendix.
